電影節大師班：從原創IP出發，讓華語故事走向世界銀幕

作為本屆「國際華語原創IP電影節」的重要專業交流單元，「電影節大師班（Film Festival Masterclass）」將於 2026年10月30日（星期五）10:00 AM–4:00 PM 在 UCLA Royce Hall 314 舉行。本次大師班以「原創故事如何真正走向銀幕，又如何跨越文化與市場的邊界」為核心，設置兩大主題：「從文字到銀幕：原創IP的發掘、孵化與影視改編」（From Page to Screen: Discovering, Developing, and Adapting Original IP），聚焦一個原創故事從文字、概念與IP開發，到劇本孵化、影視改編及產業化的完整路徑；以及 「從本土故事到世界銀幕：華語原創IP的國際表達」（From Local Stories to the Global Screen: Bringing Chinese-Language Original IP to International Audiences），進一步探討華語創作者如何在保持本土文化特質與敘事辨識度的同時，建立能夠與國際觀眾溝通的電影語言，讓真正具有文化根基的中國與華語故事進入全球影視產業的視野。

本次大師班由 白睿文（Michael Berry） 主持。

白睿文現任加州大學洛杉磯分校（UCLA）當代中國文化研究教授，並兼任該校影視與數位媒體系（FTVDM）；他於哥倫比亞大學獲得博士學位，長期研究現代與當代中國文學、中國電影、當代中國大眾文化及翻譯研究。

Michael Berry is Professor of Contemporary Chinese Culture at UCLA and is also affiliated with UCLA’s Department of Film, Television and Digital Media (FTVDM). He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, and his research encompasses modern and contemporary Chinese literature, Chinese cinema, contemporary Chinese popular culture, and translation studies.

大師班邀請四位具有不同專業背景與國際產業經驗的電影人參與對談。

Donald Martin（本屆電影節主席 / Festival Chair） 是跨國影視編劇及製作人，為 WGAW、BAFTA 等專業組織成員，曾擔任 UCLA Extension 長片編劇工作坊領導導師，並曾於 USC、AFI、UCLA 等院校講學，也曾擔任韓國 KBS 顧問及在台北、新加坡、馬尼拉主持專業工作坊；他曾獲英女皇金禧獎章及加拿大影視學院首屆人道主義獎，2010年獲加拿大影視學院 Margaret Collier 終身成就獎，其編劇作品包括 Netflix 電影《Brazen》（2022）。

Donald Martin is an international screenwriter and producer, a member of WGAW and BAFTA, and a longtime educator and mentor whose teaching and professional work have extended across UCLA Extension, USC, AFI and international workshops in Asia. His honors include the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, the Canadian Academy’s Humanitarian Award and the Margaret Collier Award for lifetime achievement. His screenwriting credits include Netflix’s Brazen (2022).

焦雄屏（Peggy Chiao，本屆電影節評委會主席 / Jury Chair） 是華語電影界資深電影人、製片人與學者，曾任金馬獎主席，並為美國電影藝術與科學學院成員；她曾任台灣電影中心主任及台北藝術大學電影創作學系教授，2024年並擔任第六屆金雞電影創投大會製作中項目單元評審團主評審。四十餘年的專業生涯中，她長期參與華語電影創作、製作、教育及國際推廣。

Peggy Chiao is a veteran producer, scholar and influential figure in Chinese-language cinema. A former Chairperson of the Golden Horse Awards and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, she has also served as Director of the Taiwan Film Center and Professor at Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2024, she served as Chief Jury of the Work-in-Progress section at the 6th Golden Rooster Film Project Market.

遲少艾（Anna Shaoai Chi，本屆電影節總顧問 / Festival Advisor） 長期活躍於美國影視產業，為美國編劇、導演及製片相關專業協會成員，同時也是洛杉磯華文作家協會會員。她本科畢業於中山大學，之後進入 UCLA 電影學院深造並取得導演碩士學位；其職業生涯中曾與多位國際知名導演合作，相關工作涉及傳奇影業、迪士尼、夢工廠及 ABC 等影視公司與平台。

Anna Shaoai Chi is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with extensive experience in writing, directing and producing. After graduating from Sun Yat-sen University, she studied filmmaking at UCLA and earned a graduate degree in directing. Her professional experience includes collaborations with internationally recognized filmmakers and projects connected with companies including Legendary, Disney, DreamWorks and ABC.

Michael Goi 是好萊塢資深電影人及電影攝影師，以跨越攝影、導演及影視創作的多元經驗著稱，曾四次獲得黃金時段艾美獎（Primetime Emmy Award）提名，並於2009年至2012年間擔任美國電影攝影師協會（ASC）第49任主席。

Michael Goi is an acclaimed Hollywood filmmaker and cinematographer known for his versatility across cinematography, directing and visual storytelling. A four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee, he served as the 49th President of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) from 2009 to 2012.

這場大師班並不只是一次關於「如何把小說改成電影」的技術討論，而希望把創作者、編劇、導演、製片人、學者與產業人士放在同一張對話桌上，從原創IP的發現與孵化、劇本及影視改編，到華語內容如何建立國際表達、進入全球市場，重新思考今天一個好故事從文字走向銀幕、再從本土走向世界所必須面對的機會與挑戰。

**活動以英文進行，現場提供中文文字翻譯（Language: English, with on-site Chinese text translation）。
